Rowland was the Mayor of Machynlleth in 1597,1607,and 1610. He was a Magistrate from 1611 to 1625 and the High Sheriff of Montgomeryshire(now Powys) county in 1611, He was buried St.Asaph Church,Montgomery,Wales
